Put it up maybe a 100$ or so but that is ridiculous, capitalism or not. Another one wishing upon a star to make some money. Let's hope no one is dense enough to buy it from him.

So the AX8 is not just the FX8 with modeling capabilities.andross182":3116b9df said:So the only difference between the AX8 and FX8 is the AX8 does amp modeling too? That seems like a huge feature bump for only 50 dollars additional...

I'm selling mine for that? So fucking what? Who made you the decider of what people should flip it for? It's a free market... I'll either get $400+ or I won't... why should you care?
And by the way I got it with the intentions of keeping it if it sounded better than what I have or have used but guess what? It sounds no better than a Line 6 Helix and it plays so well with analog gear...... a lot better than the AX8. I did a lot of back and forth in several uses from tube amp to all direct and the helix to me was clear winner. So off the AX8 goes.
I could care less if I make more money off it than you think I should or not.

just like Fractal I thought all the presets sounded kind of bad. I don't judge a unit by the presets though. Downloaded some Ownhammer it's and away I went. The fact of the matter is, Ive had an axe fx II for the past 4 years, sold it a few months ago to upgrade to the XL+ and on my journey decided to try the Kemper which went back immediately and now Helix. I had every intention of just trying it out for 30 days while I waited for the Axe II to come back into stock. But in all honesty, The differences in tone are so negligable that there's no point in spending another $1k on the Axe. Sure, it has over 200 amp models but I only use 4 anyways. Most people don't want to believe the Line 6 is atleast on its way to fractals level, but from a former fractal fanboy...it is. But Helix discussion is definitely for a different threaddanyeo":32nohrjt said:lessthan12":32nohrjt said:As a long time Axe Fx user I decided to give Helix a try last week because fractal has been out of stock on everything for a while. I heard the Helix in person and wasn't thrilled at all by it's distorted sounds. Clean and effects were nice but some of the amp models sounded pretty bad...IMHO.

I can't keep track anymore, I thought you were Fractal basher, if not well there's no shorted of them. And yes sure, it's a free market, charge what you want. The guys paying 2k for one are the same as those kids on Line getting the new Playstation.
But right now, I'm more irked by what it says in the new Petrucci IIC+ manual.
Quote:
And YES... it’s a IIC+! A next generation Re-Issue of the legendary amp so many Recording Artists, MESA enthusiasts and Tone Freaks the world over covet and many search high and low to find. Only THIS IIC+ will quickly de-value those original amplifiers for all but the most snobbish collectors. Why? Because it is purely and simply better. In every way!
Give danyeo your invite, then. Everyone wins...mhenson42":y9mdzuz3 said:I got my invite to buy the other day. I dont really want it anymore. I thought about buying to try/flip, but it's not worth my effort at this point. Lol
...so, other than the true bypass and switching, im not sure what else the fx8 would have over the ax8
