thinking about getting a mustang, anyone fit a 4x12 in the back ?

Ya, good luck. Sounds more like a ride for a Line 6 combo... maybe a gorilla.

nope doesnt fit in the trunk of my 2013 GT500. not even close.
then again my mesa boogie cab is bigger than some other 4x12

I baby every aspect of my Stang. There is no way I would subject it to a 4x12.

While we are on the subject, have any of you put in lowering springs and
If so what setup do you recommend for 2012 gt?

No chance, not even a mini 4x12, and even if you DID it would probably tear up the cab and the car. Go with a quality 2x12

The Mustang's trunk isn't as small as most people think. The back seat even folds down. That said, you have no shot in hell of fitting one in.

A Mustang has a trunk?

I can put a 4x12 in the back of 2003 Jetta.

Maybe try a Focus ST
I don't know if a 4x12 will fit in the back of a Focus (I would guess yes), and I never thought I'd say this about a Ford Focus, but they are pretty nice cars for what they are (particularly the hatchback). The STs are

Not in the trunck but I have gotten a Diezel 4x12 in the front passenger seat before, just recline it all the way and don't turn fast.

If its a Fox body it will fit, but past 93 its not even worth trying.

Yep, I just got a 2011 Mustang...no chance in hell of fitting a 4x12.

I had a 1997 Cavalier 4 door and was able to get a 4x12 in the back seat but the interior took a beating.

LOL! Plus one on that. I'm a Mustang guy, I'm on my 6th! my 1990 was the last one a 4x12 got in...

That's why I run/switched to 2x12's!]

With my 2006, Fold the back seats down, put em there... (Protects your leather) Guitar cases in the foot well of the back seats, amp head, and gear bags in the trunk. Girlfriend in the passenger seat!

Interesting note, with my 66 Fastback, I actually could get my full stack in there! the back seat did an amazing fold down to a hard surface, and by folding done and up the passenger seat, I got it in there, with the heand and guitar in the trunk. I did have to drive with a cab almost touching the steering wheel, kinda scary!

After much research I went with Steeda Sports and Koni shocks. Installing them in the spring.

On the other hand... I have a set of Roush lowering springs I'd let go pretty cheap. ;) They recommend the factory shocks, apparently.

If I could get a Mustang I would have my amp and guitar in the passenge's seat and load the 4x12 in a taxi cab...

In no way shape or form a sexy car, but I fit in 4 people and their luggage for 2 weeks, 10 guitars, 3 amp heads, a 4x12 cabinet and some cases into a Peugeot 807.

Then we passed a Mustang, and I thought to myself: "I could get along with a Mesa Lonestar combo, one guitar and let the rest of the band take the train or something."
