Coincidently, I was just cleaning out my truck. I always leave these in my truck, unless it is super cold out. I have a 14" and an 18" and then my bug out box that now needs blankets. And an a refreshed first aid kit. Never go home without it. :D

Glad you able to pull that out of the way.

Edit: Yes, I am getting a Stihl.

Not being in the countryside, I usually just bring my Uzi in a sling-pack; along with several normal capacity mags.

It's always good to be prepared.

I'd rather be stuck on a mountain than smell 2 cycle in my truck everyday lol
If you have a truck, use it as a truck. Otherwise buy a car or an SUV.

Put a tool box on the back of it Dan. I have so much shit in the tool box bolted to my truck it's not funny. Including a 16" chainsaw, a 6 ton chain hoist, floor jack, buncha other shit. And I still have room in there for shit like saws, nailguns, hand tools, etc.. Don't buy some cheap ass $100 flimsy as fuck truck box. Buy once, cry once.

It's a company vehicle so I don't really have carte blanche to add whatever I want unfortunately, but I do have enough pull to have gotten a crew cab to haul my kiddos around, so it’s kind of a family vehicle as well.
Everyone that works “on my crew” has their own truck so I typically travel alone.

I have a couple tool bags worth of hand tools that I use for work and that’s mostly it besides cleaners and gloves that I keep under the seat. And the tow strap that I moved the tree with.

with that modern truck, I'm sure it has an AC outlet, get an electric chain saw; and a long extension cord. State of MA approved too! :D

It surprisingly does not have an AC outlet, it’s the basic WT model. The knockouts are there for me to run a harness though.
I do have a few electrical chainsaws at home though lol. I was a certified arborist for a while, well I guess technically I still am, but if I never have to hear another chainsaw again I’d be a happy man

Wow that’s cool. I noticed you knew the tree type… Did you climb trees?

Only when I had to. I used to get motion sickness pretty bad when I was younger and I’d get a similar feeling when I was up in the crown of a tree for a while.
I never went full on into the tree industry but I got the certification to look good on my resume.

I love the smell of 2-cycle gas in the morning.
If you can swing a king cab you can swing a tool box.
Surprised a Work Truck doesn't have an AC converter/plug in.
I've considered getting a Ryobi chainsaw for easy peasy lighter weight jobs.
My cabin is 8 miles off pavement down a gravel road in the middle of Mark Twain National Forest.
I've already been caught once with my pants down forgetting my chainsaw. No more. :D

These days there are crap load of 36 and 40v battery powered chainsaws. No need for an AC one when it comes to electric ones.
