Anyone have exp with step up/ down converters

Considering buying a amp overseas but have 0 exp with power conversion. Any pros/cons to this ?

Yeah I've have to do it multiple times. Sometimes you get lucky and it's not required as they've used a multi-tap power tranny - just rewire to your local voltage and you're good to go. Otherwise, I've always had luck with a simple stepdown.

What amp and model exactly?

You have to make sure that the step trans wattage is rated high enough to run your amp...ie 700watts, 1000watts etc. When you look at different ones just make sure you are buying a higher wattage version.

Most Diezels have taps for all voltages.

It’s a diezel Schmidt. Found out the pt can be re wired for 110v so I’m pulling the triggrr
