wondering if anyone has used them, and how they liked them, i see on the splawn site you can get one unloaded 4 around 460 ,

I think they're sweet. I had 4x12's loaded w/V30's. They have a warmth in the midrange with solid low end and smooth highs. They punch thru the mix without being brash. I sold one to Jordon, we lined up the Splawn, Bogner Uberkab and Mesa oversized and went down the line. They all sounded great with different attributes. I do miss the Splawn and would buy another if I had the room for it.

Jordon - if ya get rid of it, let me know 1st....I want dibs!

I used to have a couple.
They are one of the best, imo.

They are great cabs. However, I have extensively A/B'd my Splawn 2x12 (not the oversized one) with my Avatar Contemporary 2x12 and there is little to no difference. In fact, The Avatar might be a bit darker/thicker. This is with the same speakers.

I have a Splawn 2x12 cab that sounds great. You can hear it in this video:

Splawns are probably the best cabs you can get for your money

I had an OS 2x12 and I missed it greatly when I traded it for an Orange 2x12 :(

Amazing build quality, great customer service, awesome tone, it's got everything

i wish i had a few splawn cabinets. they have excellent build quality and for the price cant be beat at all.

i have a 4X12. its great. sounds killer. Great construction. If you are looking for one PM me...i am selling it.

I think I got a bad one. They're built well, and the price is great, but the one I had sounded muffled. I thought it was the speakers, and put some blackback G12M-25's out of one of my Marshall cabs in it, and it sounded pretty good. Then I noticed at band practice that I had to turn it up louder, and it was muffled sounding all the time. I thought one of the speakers must have blown or something, so I took them out, and put another quad in. same thing. So I put them back in a Marshall cabinet, and a bogner cabinet, and everything sounded great again so I sold the Splawn. I think it must have had some wet wood or something, I honestly don't know what the problem was.

i have two of them, both 4x12 straights, one black one boa. the black one used to have an X of eminence man-o-war and governors and sounded real good however i swapped it to hellatone aged V30s and it sounds killer now (i tend to like good ol' v30s over most other speakers, guess i'm just used to them) the boa also has V30s in it, aged the old fashion way of lots of use. when cab shopping i could have bought whatever i wanted but chose to go splawn since they're USA made and built like tanks with no corners cut or cheap materials used...the locking neutrick jacks is a nice plus too. i wouldn't trade them for any other cabs that's for sure.

one of these days i need to get a splawn head to go with them :D

thanks everyone for the insight, next week its cab shopping time, :D

top notch cabs, with top notch hardware, grill cloth, etc.!

I have one with the eminence man-o-war govnor x pattern dealy, and I would reccomend to get V30's as the eminence speakers don't sound that shit hot to me and I find V30s work better to me in this cab.

Probably the grill cloth...it's very thick ;)

I have a Splawn 2*12 loaded with the Eminence Custom speakers they do for Splawn.

It is really a very good cabinet. Very punchy, not harsch sounding but still pretty open sounding!

A lot of my friends asked me where to buy the speakers only. Unfortunately it looks like you can not buy the speakers alone here in Europe
