Anyone have the single P.A. speaker stand type setup versus traditional?

My band has a typical P.A. system wirh two speakers on stands. I've seen things like the Bose L1 and other "towers" and know zero about them. Are these good and what makes these better or worse than a traditional setup? I currently have a 1000 watt Samson portable. Thanks!!

I have that Bose system. Works quite well BUT for lower key shows (smaller spaces). Less crowd. I use mine specifically for practice. If you are playing for 100 folks or so and you are running a head 50 plus watt, I’d bet it might be inadequate. My business partner and I used two systems at a larger show and it was almost inadequate for 60-70-80s tunes. Others might have some more info. I love mine for self practice with the tascam guitar trainer plugged into it and the mic set up so I can practice on my own before band camp. Hope that helps
