I do. I'm a senior software engineer, we've been using, and writing AI software for the last 6-7 years. Mostly convolutional neural networks which is the kind that recognizes objects in images, like license plate recognition, etc..

We make business process optimization software, and systems.

And yes, AI is going to kill us :ROFLMAO:

ChatGPT ?

I like what Elon said today.

Yup, let's not rush into Pandora's Box.

Bad things gonna happen I tell ya, bad things.

Problem is, the ability to create an evil AI is accessible to nearly anyone. It's not like a nuke, which would be hard for the average jackass to obtain.

ChatGPT ?t
We don't use ChatGPT. We'll not for software we deploy, I have used it recently to help write/refactor software functions.

Software dev's have been freaking out that ChatGPT will take their job, we'll I have not seen this, it can make you more productive. Some say, well then companies will need less dev's, no I think they will just produce more code. There's no shortage of code demand.

I recently used it to help design a PCB layout for an effects pedal circuit.

Was duly impressed with it's problem solving capability.

Yes, it's pretty good. It's essentially all publicly available human knowledge with a natural language interface. It's like talking to a human that literally knows everything that is public knowledge.

It's not sentient, nor is it AGI, or general intelligence.

These AI guy's dont know what AGI is yet. I do however know what it is.

Ok I feel it's safe to spill the beans here, not like you guys are going to create an AI that will end the human race :)

Have you ever observed a toddler when they discover the door stop springy thing? That curiosity you observe is the key to AGI
It starts with the child flicking it, and watching it spring around, it's satisfying that curiosity itch. Next thing that happens, the child by pure random chance discovers the spring can launch a projectile, and later learns by random chance that projectile can hurt a sibling. The child also notices the other sibling getting part of the parental attention, so it maybe it feels the need to punish, or even eliminate the competition. :hys:

I had a cat that used to do that.

No.

She did it because it woke us up and scared the shit out of us.

While that's funny, and probably you're creating a human conspiratorial explanation. It is possible the cat learned that it wakes you up, and he/she gets food, or let outside, etc..

But 3:00 AM is when the cat would naturally hunt, so I still say prey drive.

Are you an expert on hunting pussy?
