Anyone in touch with Curt (Chubtone)? Tried to contact him

I contacted Curt about having him do a custom guitar build for me and went directly to the Chubtone website and sent him a message the other day. I didn't hear anything back and was wondering if that is an old email address, he is really busy, or some other reason.

I bought a guitar back in the day from Curt but we are talking like 2008 timeframe so it has been years. Really like the way the Chubtone guitars look and thought he might be able to bring one of my ideas to fruition.

If anyone has bought one from him could you tell me roughly how long the wait is now and how much he requires down? Appreciate it. Thanks!!

I'm thinking about doing something with my high school colors or Germany...or both! I went to high school over there and thought it would be cool to get something with a memory attached. I'm still throwing together ideas though.

I originally got it with a Duncan Pegasus bridge and '59 neck but I got a Duncan custom shop neck pickup for it (I told them slightly overwound Sentient). Mine has the #2 neck profile, it's got the perfect feel for me. Just a little extra thickness but not too thick.

Wow, you resurrected my old cobweb-covered post. LOL! It was crazy when I saw the post come up because I've been thinking about getting a guitar from Curt again. People been putting up some great praises about how his guitars have the feel and tone of Charvels, etc. and that is good enough for me.

NO, didn't end up doing that. I'm kind of glad I didn't because I was thinking about doing a Germany flag one instead. I was looking the other day at a few ideas and thought it would be cool to do like a relic'd look with the Germany colors. Still throwing ideas around but I think that would be pretty cool.
