Looking for another pedal platform amp with awesome cleans and great headroom.

The Two rock brand keeps coming up as a solid pedal platform amp...

Thanks.

I don't own one, but I had a Studio Pro 22 then exchanged it for a 35. I regret letting that amp go because it sounded damned outstanding. It does make a great pedal platform, but only everything from fusion to hard rock. I don't like the way it compresses with overdrives set at full gain. You need a very high quality distortion pedal to start getting some metal sounds from it. I doubt anyone uses them for metal, but they can sound quiet good for a lot of Vai, Satch, Bonamassa, etc. types stuff.

The Sensor 35 lends itself better to heavier styles. However, Two-Rock customer service is outstanding and they'll customize your amp for you if you ask them. I once called them about a Sensor 35 that I wanted to buy and they said that if I didn't like it with 6L6's, they'd change it to EL34 for me. That's pretty cool.

i totally moved from high amps to pedal platform only and am very happy... I have the newer Fender ML (Michael Landau) Deville with V-types and it sounds amazing with any pedals i have. EVH 5150, JHS Andy Timmons Angry Charlie, etc... Low gain, crunch, and high gain all work extremely well with this amp and I think the V-type speakers are magic with this amp. They sound so good I am replacing the v-30's in my mesa recto 2x12 with them as i am sick of V-30's... so much more clarity and warmth with out all the boxy harshness of v-30's... sound amazing clean as well... i want to add a head to my pedal platform world... i think the two work would work nicely it just might be a matter of speaker combination that will make the difference. The Michael Landau sounds killer with pedals as it was designed for pedal platform stuff....
