Hermansson 3 gain stages rebuild in a Marshall JMP New design

I'm Not a review guy because describing sound is really difficult. As someone who has been blessed With owning over 40 amps currently and hundreds through the years very rarely do I come across an amp that has “That thing” No matter what cabinet or guitar or set of pickups or tunings you use. That thing being an amazing amp. The first words that come to mind is INSANE chewiness Yet Tight and big sounding. Super powerful. The touch dynamics are there. Harmonics leap off the damn board but when you chug (Down Strokes Only LOL) Tremelo pick, Alternate thrash mayhem this thing not only holds together It spits venom at you. It’s amazing how it responds to your picking and hand attack. There is a lot of amps that are tight but they are sterile ! There is very few that are ass tight that have a soul. This puppy Has it all. I will tell you this I received the amp yesterday played it for 4 hours. Thought I was just high from the gas, Put it down for few hours, Jammed before I crashed for the night, And spent a few hours today throwing it up against other amps just to make sure I’m not losing it. The truth is I am not!


Even medium gain settings for classic and hard rock I am like WTF its great. With all the switches no matter what you do it sounds great it’s like it’s always near the sweet spot you are looking for.





I will be ordering another amp with this type of design in the future to incorporate in my live and up coming touring rig. (Need a clean channel live)


This will be with me on small shows, I look forward to finishing my album end of year with this thing brining some heat for the broootz

That amp is def VBF approved. @Techdeth was showing off his many toggeld hermansson the other day. Pretty sweet amp.

Sounds sick though, pretty similar to the 5GS when you turn the gain down from what I can tell.
