I am looking for an amp. it needs to have pretty honking gain. I am not into death metal. i like the gain of modded marshalls and LOVED my ccv i sold. let me know if you have some sort of higher gain channel changer. thanks in advance. i think my upper limit will be around 2200 bucks.

Like I said in the thread, if you want something like the CCV—but not a CCV—look into the Ceriatone King Kong. Otherwise... I don't know what else to tell ya. Maybe a Mark III ? Ultra Lead? Uberschall? SLO? Splawn? Or wait until a used hot-rodded Marshall pops up in the classifieds.

But I doubt you'll find any of those in the Bay Area. Is there a reason you won't have something shipped?

its not so much having something shipped. i would rather avoid paypal. plus, if its local, i can show up, play it first, hand over the cash and be done with it. i don't have an amp right now and it is DRIVING ME WILD!! i play a lot of guitar and don't like playing electrics unless they are plugged in., obviously, i have been since i have no amp now, but greatly prefer to be cranking screaming hot rodded gain!!!!

I was actually going to recommend the Bones. Might be the best option, OP! And this one has all the bells and whistles (two channels, etc. etc.).
