Gotta' get over to my buddy's and try his Suhr T - they came stock. I'll report if I can catch up with him, been dying to hear them and his BE-100.

I tried a set in my basswood guitar and hated them! Just dull and lifeless. Guys with Les Pauls seemed to have better results.

Had one in my Suhr S2, which is Alder with a Maple neck...thus far, it's been one of my three favorite PAF-type pups (along with MC 2nd degree and Arcane Brownbucker). Only reason I took it out is that I'm just interested in trying different ones. The Thornbucker has an A4 magnet also, which takes a little shrill off the high end.
Like any pickup though, it really can be a different experience depending on the guitar (wood, neck, etc.)
