I take mushrooms maybe once a month, and have been for about a year.
I'm usually good now, but the first few times i took them alone, i never cried harder in my life.
it felt like i was mourning the death of everyone i ever knew in my life all at once. Those mushroom experiences have helped me become comfortable expressing my emotions in a healthy way so that i don't bottle shit up and have a bad trip like that ever again. So i don't hold back if i feel sad and tears well up, i let that shit out. I cry at sad parts of movies or tv series' if the acting is good and the scenario is thought provoking enough. Having 3 kids also turned me into a giant emotional softee. I tear up sometimes just watching my kids play and be happy because my own childhood was so unhappy.

I almost cried when we put a dog down several years ago. But never had an actual tear drop.

I’m stoic like my mother. I couldn’t tell you the last time I cried. My guess is somewhere around 35 years ago.

When I hear certain music for the first time, I feel a wave of emotion sometimes. But crying isn’t one of them. More excitement and gratitude for the people creating art. Like a tingle on the back of the neck. Only happens when experiencing for the first time. Very difficult to replicate.
