Looks frickin' COOL.

$499 for the 4 GB
$599 for the 8 GB

Ships in June.

Glad they finally did it! They've had the patent for awhile now. I know they're secretly working on integrating 802.11n in Airport.

I don't think I'll buy one though. Not for that price. That price I think assumes a two-year contract too. When the RAZR came out it was like $700. I think I'll wait until Next Jan. when I can buy one for around $100.

i'll wait for the microsoft version to come out, and buy whichever is cheaper by then

That's already happened. Microsoft has a product in the field already. Every SmartPhone runs Microsoft's software.

When are those damn little hand held computers that can run XP and possibly Vista coming out?

I think it's funny that anyone is really even bothering with all these random combinations of portable electronics. There have always been little palm pilot thingers that do most of it to one degree or another, but they've just never been very powerful.

They need to just hurry up and throw it all together at once.

that thing looks cool as hell. But also looks flimsy as hell and 500 bucks with a 2 year contract? I think not.

Except the ones that run PalmOS (which is infinitely superior IMO).

Looks awesome. It's a good thing that I'm on Verizon otherwise I just might buy it.

You mean the OQO?

It's been out for a while.

In a move to further expand our lead in wireless, today we announced that Cingular will be the exclusive U.S. carrier for Apple's new iPhone — unveiled today at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco.

As part of the multi-year partnership, Cingular and Apple will deliver innovative new features to mobile phone users, such as iPhone's pioneering and unique "Visual Voice Mail," a first on any mobile phone in the world.

"By partnering with Apple, we are continuing our commitment to raising the bar for customers," said Stan Sigman, Cingular president and CEO. "We think the iPhone is one of the most innovative devices ever created, and we look forward to letting our customers be the first in the world to experience the future of mobile phones."

iPhone will be available in the U.S. beginning in June 2007 in a 4-gigabyte model for $499 — and in an 8-gigabyte model for $599. It will work in combination with Apple's iTunes running on either a PC or Mac.

iPhone will be sold in the U.S. through Cingular and Apple retail and online stores.

Plus if the reliability of their current line of iPods is any indicator..... :(

Funny thing is that Linksys had the rights to the name for a long time too

Yeah, I know they've had them, but are they affordable? I remember when I read about them the whole point was that they could sell them for like $700 or something and they'd have a good battery life by that point. But considering that I have never seen one so much as advertised, I'm guessing they're not really being mass produced yet.

Lol it says starting at $1,499. I guess that answers that.

I hate Apple, but I'll admit those do look pretty cool. Hopefully Sony Ericsson or Samsung take the concept and run with it, because it will probably be a cold day in hell when I buy an Apple product.

Damn Apple keeps doing it...that looks nice, at this rate I see Apple over taking PC's one day...smart company. ;)

Damn those are niceeee, maybe I can get one on a five finger discount
