Are Proline straplocks made by Schaller?

I need some more nickel straplocks and I prefer the old style vs the giant bulbous monstrosity Scahller sells now. I know the Fender ones are made by Schaller, but I think only available in chrome. Proline is in stock and they're actually slightly more than the Fender ones and they're in nickel, so just curious if anyone has verifiable knowledge they're made by Schaller. I've had some knockoff old style Scahller locks and they were garbage.

I have used Schallers for decades and never had a problem. Just put a drop of blue LocTite on the threads. Or check them every so often.

Yeah, the S locks work great, but are huge, so I prefer the old style, hence me looking at what's available at the local GC...which is only the Fender chrome or the mysterious Proline.

I've used Schallers for years, too, but the new S locks are not an improvement for me. They are too big and are even more difficult to get on the strap. Never had a problem with either coming loose once they're on, though.

Fender is offering theirs in black, and gold, too. About time...

I've tried the Grovers that are like the old Schallers. They seem to be OK, probably like the Prolines, but IDK. I'd feel better about it if I knew they were steel and not potted metal.

The good thing about the new Schallers is that they offer different size screws. Good thing since the screw is now part of the button. Just haven't found them in the US other than ordering direct from them or Thomann.
