At the end of the day what amp could you live with?

Been talking to Danyeo about the Boogie Electra-Dyne and how great and versatile it is for being a simple design and somewhat affordable.
Made me realize that I could be happy with a Boogie Mark IV or Electra-Dyne with a boost and delay. I'm not a big amp flipper as it is anyways, but lately I've been gassing for some amps that are WAY out of my price range. Every time I plug into my buddy's Mark IV/Stiletto cab I am blown away and it's hard to imagine something sounding $2000 better. If my recto had a better fx loop, I could be happy just owning it alone.

What's yours?

although I still get amps to check out - my Ceriatone 1987 amp with my Tubescreamer is pretty much the end all of end all's for me. The 1959RI is also something I could totally just be done with - and I pretty much am but I still like to test the waters :D .

It would be a tie between my 20thA XTC and my Diezel VH4S.

I haven't totally dialed my Mak4/Fryette rig yet, but that too could be a contender.

If I had to make a decision above the above two?? I'd probably toss a coin...and be heartbroken either way.

V.

A few:

Diezel VH4
Diezel Herbert
Cameron CCV
Bogner 20th XTC
Marshall 1974x with a Klon overdrive.

That's easy, Friedman Brown eye/Marsha. Fender clean, Marshall OD.

My Fortin Cali, as I get better it gets better.

I would apply for a waiver for Mike to beef it up with new iron though so I can trash fancy boutique amps from sheer volume.

One of the two:
Mark V
or
Friedman Naked

Either would work for me :D

Exactly what you stated Mesa Electra Dyne, Boost ( BB preamp) and a delay (Time Factor)!

I've tried almost everything mentioned in this thread and I'd go back to a Mesa IIC+ anytime. The Electra Dyne is a great bang for the buck amp that comes alive with either volume, or some pedals. I'm pretty shocked that i like it better than the Diezel Einstein and a Bogner 101B i had.

Of course if i could play as loud as i want, I'd take a great JMP or JCM800 along with the IIC+.

You have any of those crispy cream boosted mark clips?

Some of the best Mesa tones I have heard on any board.

Oh yeah....I am going to sell mine :D

Here is a shocker... Cameron CCV. The amp has so many tones in it...let my clips do the talking  I am going on a year with it and I am still pulling out new tones. Then switch up speakers for even more killer tones. It may not be for everyone, but for me it rules.

Your Blackstar HT5 video sounds as good as your CCV videos. :D From what i hear on the videos, whatever head you use in your chain you tend to get a very similiar sound. Just my observation.

Who ever you sell it to will love it :hys: :hys:

I have to look around to see if I have the other caps, it is loaded with the stock one.

Don't make fun of my disease. It's hurtful and degrading.

Awesome choice. One of the amps that's way out of my range at the moment. Meant to ask you, what speakers are you running through in your Marsha clip?(first clip on soundclick)

Im really cool with my Tverb and my Mark III. If I ever get another 5150 again Ill be set. The most fun ive ever had with gear is when I had those 3 amps at the same time. And that ended 2 weeks ago
