Hi
I might be getting an attenuator in a trade and it has one speaker input but my amp has two cabs. Will it be OK to use a Y cable and plug each cab into the split end and put the single end into the attenuator assuming the Ω reading on the Y cable is compatible with the attenuator? If this is OK, what kind of Y cable should I get? Most of the ones I've seen have the ring on one side and the tip on the other (like stereo to mono I guess), that won't work, will it? How should I do this if a Y cable isn't the answer, or can I do it?
The gear in question is a Peavey Classic 50 amp with Peavey Classic 410E and Peavey Classic 115E cabs and a 50 watt Weber Mini Mass attenuator.
Thanks!
