Yea, it snowed most of the day here but stayed above freezing, the snow didn’t really stick anywhere but the mountains

very interesting on what towns they used on that weather map, it's like they went out of their way to choose the least populated areas.
The area I was driving through in that picture was slightly uphill from the valley, but the mountain pictured is a good 2,000 feet or so above where I was standing.

It was interesting too because I didn’t Google Massachusetts. Maybe it’s an MA thing? …this is really 2000ft?

Yeah but is the valley sea level? The next time you go for a hike up there take a thermometer and see if it’s cooler by a few degrees.

If I ever hike it, sure. I presume the valley is the river valley that runs through town. I was a bit uphill from town but not very much

Is town sea level? Most map apps have elevation I think.

The peak says 2700 above sea level and the town as 680 above sea level

Hard to say man. It’s a pretty windy neighborhood so there isn’t really a straight shot to the mountain. Next time I’m there I’ll swing through, but there are at least 4 rows of houses between where I was and the mountain

Geez I didn’t realize it’s not maintained anymore. Last update 8yrs ago. Still like it cause it’s basic and has features I use.
