Awesome Ozzy Concert 1989

I've watched this before... and I just watched it again. Brings back so many memories. Ozzy was literally a god!

This tour was the only time I saw him ........ No Rest for the Wicked Tour .... Zack's first .... with the added bonus of Geezer on Bass ... I was 18 .... friggin lifetime ago !

Yeah life time ago but it seems really like yesterday. I was 20. The music was incredible back then. Bag cell phones, double breasted suits, golds gym, pink and yellow guitars….. hair for days. Oh. And headbangers ball. Pre-Ricky Rachtman post toad Adam curry.

I don't know ( see what I did there ?) man, I just always thought Ozzy after Randy was kinda lame.

Thanks man. The band and Ozzy sound great here. Hard to believe people thought he was washed up 10 years before this.

This was aired on MTV back in 1989 . Ozzy had shows from `82 and `84 broadcast also. Saw the No Rest For The Wicked tour here in Oakland

I saw this tour at what I believe was the opening "warm up" date at the Salisbury MD civic center which is 3 hours south of Philly. We used to get shows like that because the venue was very available so bands could do dress rehearsals and run the gear. Sometimes they would go ahead and put a date on sale so we'd catch shows that we weren't really big enough to normally get for our market size.
Vixen opened followed by White Lion. I was super stoked to see Vito Bratta and Vixen played a damned good set. Didn't really know Zakk at the time, I just knew that Jake E Lee was out so I didn't bring any preconceptions in. Zakk smashed it and the Geezer was on bass so that was a bonus. I had seen Geezer in winter 81 with Black Sabbath - same venue, same deal. Mob Rules tour with Vinnie Appice on drums and Mr Dio on vocals. Plus Alvin Lee opened so it was another cool show.
