 guy was my hero before metal

He still fucked 12 year olds, i won't shed a tear if he's dead.

fuckin lies and propaganda

That's a load of BS. It's called having the money to buy yourself out of any mess.

its called lying to get money from MJ

Gullible much there Chris?

FWIW, I could care less (sorry to those of you that liked him), I never cared for his music, or anything else about him, I thought he was over rated like 99.9% of all Pop Star who have entirely too much money and fame thrown at them at young ages, and it fucks them up.... he's no different. Still didn't like him, especially after the Jesus Juice.

As I said on HCAF, Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad are amazing 80's funk pop records. And a lot of the Jackson 5 stuff is pretty fucking awesome too.

Regardless of the freak he became in his last 20 years, everything up to Bad was THE shit.

The man was incredibly tormented. He had spiralled to a place that he would never be able to escape from (just look at this thread). Reality was a very different place for him than it is for (at least most of) the rest of us, which, I'm sure, left him pretty open for mis-interpretation (both him misinterpreting others and him misinterpreting reality) and manipulation.

At least now we know a couple things - (1) if he did touch kids, he won't anymore, (2) if he had any more artistic contributions to give us, we won't hear them.

How did the kid know what the shape was and where?

I'm not interested in getting into an argument about it, nor have I read through the court docs, but my understanding was that the kid described some kind of mark, the news agencies reported this, Jackson was strip searched, and the claim was invalidated. Again, I didn't read the court docs so I don't know this as fact.

2 to 1 says somebody'll magically come up with some 'demo' shit of his an try to make bank on it.... :scared:

Hadn't heard that. Thanks for the input.

Probably, but, like all of the other posthumous releases, it will, at best, be stitching together a bunch of stuff and trying to make something cohesive out of scratch ideas.

Looks like things are wierd. Drug allegations and a hunt for his "personal doctor"

I'm expecting they'll find he died from a drug induced cardiac arrest, and that somebody will end up on trial for it. The Jackson family's "spokesperson" (I believe he may be their attorney) spoke out yesterday about how he has been warning the family about the likelihood of Michael dying from an OD for some time now. I would expect he'll be pushing the issue if it's found died from a drug OD.

Hmm, they may be more polished than I guessed -

I thought it could be drugs when I first heard it.

As far as the child molestation charges go, this will be the last thing I say about it to try and tell where Im coming from. When I graduated with my 4 yr degree in college my degree was in psychology with a minor in art and I was going to go on to further my education at a school in Louisville to work with kids who have been through trauma and help them with art therapy. As I got more into my classes that went in that direction I realised I couldnt detatch as much as I would need to to work with these kids so I decided to go out and work in studios as a production artist for a living. The stuff I learned that these kids had gone through and how hard it was for them to get adults to believe them or to talk them about it made me have a strong opinion about this stuff. I tend to lean in the direction of believing the kids when certain things are in play and when the police bring criminal charges there has to be at least some strong evidence to the charges and not just the accusers making things up looking to black mail for money or parental rights. Thats why, IMHO whether or not he was found guilty with that particular kid there was hard evidence found at his home and things he with his own mouth admitted he was doing with kids that exposed those kids to stuff they shouldnt have been exposed to. To me that makes him a scum bag and could care less how talented he was or how many records he sold.

All of this for an ultimately failed individual, almost a half billion in debt, serious issues, and of course the talk of child abuse.

People really know how to pick their idols to toss onto a pedestal.

and poor Farrah got Mother Thereasa treatment.

Understood. Not that is a justification, but in some way, wasn't he one of those kids too and just never recovered in any meaningful way?

I never thought I'd spend more than 10 minutes in my life talking about MJ, but apparently I have...

Somehow this quote seems appropriate:
"Eye on the TV
'cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavor it happens to be"

"Don't look me at like I am a monster
Frown out your one face, but with the other (you)
Stare like a junkie into the TV "

Maybe his childhood was bad and or very different than some, I dont know, but there are plenty of people who come from bad childhoods that dont try to expose themselves in a sexual way to kids.
