SBC Cygnus: Finally gonna give this some neck time. I got it a while ago, got it set up (apparently it was wired out of phase and that was adjusted too), but put it back in the case. I just took it out and jeez...the action was so freakin high. I lowered the bridge and adjusted the truss rod and it's much better now. It's got a Seymour Duncan P-Rail and some single coil and I'll eventually get some impressions of these...maybe even some clips. I bought this guitar because it looks unique. The neck...isn't the straightest unfortunately, but I'm gonna rock out with this bitch anyway.
Schecter TSH: Apparently I collect Schecters. I have at least 6 and I love the Tempest shape. Technically this isn't a Tempest, but whatever. I'm a sucker for semi-hollows and Silverburst has really been growing on me lately. It's got minihumbuckers with coil-splits. I'll eventually plug this in as well.
Dan Wolf Guitars Notacaster: The one that fucking got away. Holy shit. Traded away in June, 2024 and I regretted it almost immediately. I hit up the dude I traded it to and he'd already moved it to another guy. I sent the new owner a message, posted in some local Facebook groups, and never heard anything. In May of 2025, I sent dude another message and a friend request...nothing. After that, I basically gave up trying to get this guitar back and I contacted Dan Wolf, the guy who built it: "Can you basically build me this same guitar?" He obliged...then a month later I changed my mind on the color, pickguard, and plastics (Kiesel would never!). In January, 2026, Dan and I went back and forth about "final" build specs and we made some "final" decisions.
NOT SO FUCKIN FAST THERE BUDDY!!!
The guy who has the guitar finally sees all of my messages and replies! He still has it and is selling it to get a Suhr. So the convo then basically went like this, "when, where, how much?" I'm so happy to have this guitar back. I remember really loving the pickups and the neck. The pickups get insanely creamy with the rhythm circuit, the Mastery bridge and trem never goes out of tune, and the neck is so smooth and just plays great. I don’t even care about the stupid fucking fake relic. I'm just really happy to have this guitar back.
Jackson Misha Mansoon HT6: I like this guitar a lot more than I thought I would. I took this out of its case with the intent to dust it off and get it ready to sell. But I wound up playing and loving it. I love blue. I love sparkle. And it came strung with some thicc bois. So I tuned it up to drop D (it in drop C when I got it), adjusted the truss rod, and brought it to band practice last week. It plays and sounds great. It's got stainless frets and I think punches above it's price point.
Breedlove: I love this guitar so much. It's not exactly my only acoustic, but I treat it as such, so it always gets played no matter what month it is. It's coming to a gig with me on Saturday and it just recorded an EP with me as well.
