Axe FX Ultra or Standard?

It sure can't hurt to get the Ultra. But I have a Standard and was playing it last night and not one time I did I think, "Damn, I wish I had the Ultra". Before you decide, go to the Fractal site and jump on the Wiki and find the comparison list. If you think you'll need the extra stuff on the Ultra, get it. If not, save some money. Sure, the Ultra has a faster chip and more memory but if you're not throwing 900 effects into a preset, then you'll be fine with the Standard. The sims will sound the same on the Standard so you won't be sacrificing tone that's for sure.

TO answer the OP question: the Standard is PLENTY for me, but I am not much of an effects guy. If you want to run lots of effects, I suggest teh Ultra. It is my understanding that both will always have the same amp sims.

Of course the Standard is enough, you friggin' have two of them

Eh, winter time in CT is pretty dead fishing wise but did do some trout fishing during a snow storm with some good results....yeah I was that crazy to get some fishing in.

My main fishing partner bought a new Seadoo jetski and we plan on chasing the blues and stripers this year with it, if I dig it enough I am scoring one next winter. Thing is a 4 cylinder super-charged, 215hp!
