BAD mesa gas!

ok the rectifier was useless at low levels, the f-100 didnt have many features plus the tone nobs didnt seem to do much and the mark IV is expensive used...but goddamit after hearing that f100 combo....I REALLY WANT ONE!!!!!! :cry: :doh: :thumbsdown: :aww:

im in the uk, not comfortable with international shipping. also im short on cash at the moment

Dude just keep saving your cash, and then pickup a Marshall DSL or JVM head + a used Marshall cab. I guarantee you will be more than happy with it and you will be able to get a bunch of great tones from it.

Mesa gear in the UK is a total no-go if you're on a budget.

annoying thing is though im SOO bored with marshall :( so yeah i may just see what used mesas i can get. fuck it, its only money id be losing.
 
How about Engl? Should be cheaper in the UK, and will definitely be a different sound than a Marshall.

yeah those have been on my mind as well. engl powerball is £1000-£1300 here.

If you want an Engl, you can get the Powerball used for less than a grand.

Maybe look into the ENGL Fireball instead, or a Screamer head. They will do what you want tonewise and they go for cheaper than the Powerball too.

When you say you're bored with Marshall.. do you mean you're bored with YOUR Marshall? or have you owned any other Marshalls long enough to really spend time tweaking with them and getting them to sound right? A DSL50 or 100 head will do fantastic tones ranging from hard rock to much heavier if setup the rightway :thumbsup:

virtually every amp ive owned/played has been marshall. its time for a change.

the express is the same as the f series just with the contour now adjustable right?
