My band recently released its newest single. Music comes from inspiration and this song isn’t any different ....
Believe it or not this whole project started back in 2004 ! It began as a piece written from the perspective of a sniper in the military and all the mental battles that go with “taking lives for a living”. The job of a sniper in the military is a twisting of the mind like no other.
I felt a need to bring this piece to life musically, after being shown the writing. Drawing on inspirations from my good friend Jason Sanderlin (Sandman on here) who penned the original lyrics and his best friend Michael Iman who lived the life this song describes, we were able to come up with this track. This is one of those special projects that was a true honor to be a part of.
Signal chain for the main guitar tracks, was a Fortin 33 into my modded JSX and then an eventide pitchfactor in the loop. Doubled guitars we’re done with a Maxon OD808 into an original uberschall with the eventide in the loop and a little evh phase 90 out front for the solo bit
