I tried one, can't remember which one anymore and it was good, but I prefer Seymour Duncan's luckily for my bank account.
I feel the same way. The Alnico Blackhawk is a close second for me.I have yet to find a pick-up I like more than the ceramic Nail Bomb.
I love my dubble kreem SD, Nortons and 36 Annys. The guitars I had the BKs in appreciate the huge upgrade. And I appreciate the fact that they cost $80 and are made in NY.Cmon guys, we all know Larry builds the best pickups in the galaxy, even if this Bareknuckle character is a worthy competitor. The dubbel kreems simply can't be beat. Whether you order dubbel kreems on an X2N, a Super Distortion, a 36th Anniversary PAF, or a Satch Track, DiMarzio just has the secret sauce.
I was going to get a set of Apaches for a strat I had built but the pricing on their stuff was cost prohibitive. Them and throbak must have crack parties together and discuss pricing. I wound up getting Kleins and they were great.Handmade in England, they’re going to be expensive.
I went to the blues jam with a super dist in my LP bridge sunday. It sounded really good, but nowhere as meaty and intense as my Lollar DB. It compressed quite a bit more than I had seen it do before but I wasn't plugged into a Twin. Was definitely fun to play but I'm going to swap it into the Viper bridge and put the DB back in my Paul. I think both guitars will work out better that way plus the double-purple matches the Viper better.Cmon guys, we all know Larry builds the best pickups in the galaxy, even if this Bareknuckle character is a worthy competitor. This. It takes less than $24 in parts to make a pickup plus whatever you value your labor.Did buy a lot of them back in the day. I simply think they have becomed too overpriced now
