Hey guys what are your opinions on Baron amps? I know there's the British B60/120 and the K series that are more modern sounding. Those of you that have had them, how do they compare to a Cameron/Friedman/SLO etc etc...? Thanks

I like them a lot. Ive had 3. I currently have a cameron ocean marshall and a SLO. The cleans are very good, the high gain is very good. Going from memory I would say the Baron had less mids in the high gain than either or perhaps it was the cab I was using at the time. I was always wishing for a better mid gain but could have had it tweaked I guess. They are point to point and Dave is the best for customer service even though I bought used. I had a K88 MII60 and a B60L. I dug the MII60 the most for my style and would love to get another in the future. The new Bogner Helios from clips sounds similar to me to barons. I believe he only recommends Vintage 30 type speakers. His clips sound good but they can do a whole lot more than the Lynch type riffs he does. They have a very unique gain structure like a bogner

I had one a few years ago. Amazing clean channel and amazing customer service. The amp was an awesome kt88 that sounded amazing at bedroom levels. I gigged it for three months and did not like how it sat in the mix. I tended to get buried and all that gain did not lend itself to a distinguishable tone that stood out from others amps. Now I had this amp like 4 years ago. A lot may have changed since the amp I had. I sold mine after 3 months of gigging and trying to get a long with it. Damn thing had a killer clean channel.......

I have or had a Baron B60 and M60.

Great amps .in hindsight should've keep the M60 w/el34s it was more my style .Sounded like a Soldano crossed with a Marshall a bit.

Great sustain for days, His amps have some cool features a shape control ,wet/ dry preamp voicings.

but above all else I cannot say enough good things about Dave's customer service He hand Kyle Rhodes are 2 of the nicest people I have ever encountered in the business and would highly recommend both.

Dave at Baron is great. Builds great amps and killer customer service. Super nice person too.

I had a Snot Watt. Really regret selling it. Only sold it cuz i hot the torpedo live and didnt need low wattage amps anymore. I jammed it with a band once. It didnt cut. But it was cuz it couldntget loud enough for our volume at rehearsal. Id definitely buy another Baron. Recommended.
