I play bass when need be, for my recordings or pickup gigs locally, but I am definitely a guitarist primarily.
Used to lug around my Ampeg SVT-2 Pro, which I originally bought for the studio / rehearsal space, but that was just to hefty of an amp for a non-bassist like me. These days I'm playing through a Peavey Tour 450 with a Mesa Cab, but again only for the odd gig. My basses include a Fender Jazz with Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pickups, and 4 & 5 string Spectors. For recording I've had success going direct into my API's, Great River or Pacifica.
Fun stuff, I just don't do it often.
