Bassists here on rig talk

I play bass when need be, for my recordings or pickup gigs locally, but I am definitely a guitarist primarily.

Used to lug around my Ampeg SVT-2 Pro, which I originally bought for the studio / rehearsal space, but that was just to hefty of an amp for a non-bassist like me. These days I'm playing through a Peavey Tour 450 with a Mesa Cab, but again only for the odd gig. My basses include a Fender Jazz with Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pickups, and 4 & 5 string Spectors. For recording I've had success going direct into my API's, Great River or Pacifica.

Fun stuff, I just don't do it often.

Bassist here, though I did start on guitar. My main bass is a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz bass, but I just bought a used Musicman Sterling SH 5 string. Amp rig right now is Ampeg SVT3pro into Crown K1 power amp into an Ampeg BXT210M and SVT410HLF. Normally playing out I just use one cab and don't use the K1, but since my rig is at home, I am using the crown K1 so I can power both cabs as they are 4ohms and the SVT3pro doesn't tolerate a 2ohm load (at least I haven't tried it).

I also often run a Diamond Bass comp when using my Jazz bass. The Diamond comp works great on guitar too.

BTW, how do you pronounce 'Lakland', is the 'a' long like Lakeland or short more like Lackland?

I've been a bass player longer than a guitar player.

My current rig is:

Lakland 4-94
Lakland 44-02
Lakland 55-01

Aguilar DB 750
Aguilar GS212 (x2)
Bergantino NV610
How do you like the Bergantino?
