I have decided that I need to have one.

Does anyone know where I might find one of these beside paying a gazillion dollars to the BC Rich Custom shop for one?

Are these pretty rare? I see some (what I imagine to be) imports all over ebay, but I'm not interested in those at all.

Thanks!

Would I be correct in assuming that a USA BC Rich is going to be significantly better than one of the "NJ" guitars? I had a NJ neck-thru Mockingbird awhile back, and while it looked pretty good, I didn't think it sounded or played very well.

I think that Slash Mockingbird is just slick as owl shit.

FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ST's are imports but they are a good bang for buck and built pretty well. I have a couple and after replacing pots and pickups they are great guitars for the money. I also swapped out the black ST hardware to gold

Those look nice. All I know is that I've played few guitars I like nearly as much as my 97 costom shop Mockingbird Archtop.

Slash broke out his red Mockingbird for a few Velevet Revlolver tunes when I saw them on their first tour. Wow, that was a long time ago! I was in 7th grade, so it was about 4 years ago. Wow time files by wayy to fast.

Best of liuck tracking one down dude, they look sweet! I've always liked the looked of a Nautral Mockingbird myself, but if you get one with a nice quiilt top, it will look excellent, and I'm sure it will sound just the same as it looks.

There is no comparison between $3500 + custom shop and $500-600 imports ;) In my case I'm glad I didn't spend for a USA because in all honesty I don't play them very much..I'm a S guy as every odd shape I owned, V, Mocks, RR's, Firebirds etc I always go to my Strat shaped guitars.

Those are sweet locking! What kinda pickups you got in them?

Those import STs do look nice, and they are around $700 or so new. I just know that I have gone into obsession mode with the Mockingbird SL and if I were to try the import, I'd end up wondering what the real-deal would be like. I wish I could find one used, but I guess that's not going to happen. I've sent a request to a dealer to see about a quote, I bet its going to be outrageously expensive.

Buy one and then give me that black Charvel tele thing you have hanging on your wall since you won't need it.

I've got an old USA Bich Supreme, and compared to any of the NJs I've tried (even the neck thrus), there's really no comparison. The U.S. ones are really nice... See if you can find an old one, because I'm sure the new ones from the custom shop are going to cost you...

The Special X is Duncans, Custom in the bidge and Distortion in the neck
The ST is DiMarzios, ToneZone in the bridge and AirNorton in the neck

Heck, I'd even like to check out a non Slash USA Mockingbird with the active electronics but I can't find one for sale anywhere! I had no idea these were so hard to come by. I guess that helps save me some money!
