be 100 bass eq question

I have a question for the friedman be 100 0wners. what is the bass response like on your be 100. i just got a used one and it seems like the bass response doesnt do very much. off of course makes it really thin, but from one to 10 there is little or no difference. i tried it on be and hbe channels, high gain, low gain and it doesnt seem to really add much. the sat switch adds bass. Is this just the voicing of the amp? is the eq like mesa where one affects the other? bad tube from shipping? on a side note today when i played for an hour and put it on standby to turn off there were some electronic crackles and a little squeal for three or four seconds (makes me think tube issue). ( i ran it with the loop on and off also)

I'm going to run thru the tubes and try to troubleshoot before i send it off just in case. I would think that is should move some air when the bass is on nine and it is past five on the master and there is no thump. with the hiss and swueal turning off i am concerned with the tubes. if they dont do it i will definitely get it out to you

i thought i was just spoiled by the bass in the ccv, but i figured this thing should more some air and the overall sound is really thin. maybe i will send it out and have it return in purple......purple=better tone. i hope popping in new tubes across the board helps. the amp is only 6 mo old

replaced tubes and viola the speaker cab now rattles ( which is a good thing) amazing how replacing tubes fixes alot of ills. there were jj in the power and i bet shipping those did it. i think they are kinda fragile and never had any luck with them. ruby str and hg pre and i think its good to go

excellent customer service offer by the man Mr Friedman though. it may come to you for a vh switch at some point in time
