Have been using my Rivera Rockcrusher for house playing and it sounds great, best attenuator I have had so far.

Just for shits and giggles, hooked up the head straight to the cab and set it to similar volume ... sounds better.
Noticeable better. Clearer and punchier even at the low volume.

BE-100 Master Volume > Attenuator

I found the same with my JJ. I bought a Power Station hoping I could squeeze a little more out of the JJ with it and found I liked the sound and feel of the amp better using master volume alone.

Yeah. Best thing about my BE is that it sounds amazing at low volumes. I can't say the same for my old 2203

Yup. It sounds better with the master at low volumes than the studio on the rivera, but this amp kills with some volume.. If you can you gotta turn it up.. Even if you have to just knock 3 or more db off and add the edge and warm.. if you like. This was volume on noon, gain at 8, -3db.. BE100 BE channel.

My small box sounds great at low volumes. When at home I usually just use my torpedo live with headphones. If I didn't have to bug the wife I could totally use the cab at low volumes.

I know the feeling, Wife fusses all the time, but no torpedo, you guys are determined to make me spend more money!  From what I've heard they sound good, I just can't help feeling the thump in my chest from my cabs..
