BE 100 updates??? Mr Friedman

:lol: :LOL: Let me rephrase, If this mod is done, can I still use the other mods, with the lower gain switch in the off position. My voice switch is the VH switch, and was wondering if it would still be usable, or would you have to add another switch?

For those who have the older BE100, is there anything you could suggest to achieve the lower gain tone to have that classic ACDC butt-rock tone punchy & authoritative, less compressed clear grainy gain, that from what you have communicated the new Gain Structure switch does. Any suggestions on this without modding or adding the gain structure switch?

Of course it does a decent job when turning down the gain to around noon, but I've noticed that every BE I've played don't really sound as good with the gain knob at lower settings for classic rock & blues, unless you roll back the guitar volume.

I run a Blues OD on the clean channel and get exactly what you're looking for.
 
Hi Mr. Friedman;

I own an old BE-100 from early November 2013 its the one with 5 preamp tubes early version from the current model. If i want to upgrade my BE with this new Updates.. its that possible if i send it to you to perform this mods.?

I would like to know When and Where the "upgraded " versions of the BE-100 will be available in Europe.
Have you considered to apply an "Extra Volume Control" when you engage the HBE Channel/Boost ?

I'm guessing the gain structure switch is the same switch used on the Phil X amp?
 
Hi Dave, for Australia, would it be possible to bring the amp into Deluxe Guitars (Friedman Dealer) for upgrades?

So how do upgrades work? Just send it in to rack systems?
Also what are the charge for said upgrades? I have a 2015 be100.

I'm lucky. I love close to Tone Merchants. I just take my amp over to Dave and tell him what I want done. He always knows exactly what to do to get the sound I want. I love my BE because its tweakable to how I want it. Mods are very affordable and are done within a couple days.

Now if I can just get Dave to make me a set of black face plates for my BE... :)
