Be od as preamp with torpedo live?

I know very little about preamps. I don't think the be od can be used with the torpedo live and just power sims. I wanted to check if it could be done? Can anyone school me on how that could work if I wanted to try? Would I need a clean preamp pedal live a Ada or two notes la clean?

Guitar into pedal. Pedal into Torpedo live line in. From there, turn on the power amp sim of choice and cab and

I tried it out and it is not a bad sound just nowhere near as awesome as going into the plexi clean channel of the smallbox. Would not be a bad option if you had a torpedo cab and a bunch of pedals that you really loved though.
