So I have a new Wildwood Smallbox and a BE100 (circa 2013?) on the way. I plan to keep one of them.

The BE100 needs a footswitch. Im guessing any ol' latching footswitch will work. But i've also read about some custom switch Dave makes that lets you a/b the BE/BHE channels? Does he still make these, and/or is there a schematic for such a device?

Also, does anyone have an idea of what it would cost to bring this older BE100 up to 2016 specs?

Thanks for any input.

Jason

My late 2013 BE100, and Smallbox are both at Friedman for upgrades/updates right now. The shipping insured at full value was $130 from Washington state. I haven't got the exact dollar figure yet, but was told it would be pretty reasonable. In another post $260 was mentioned for updating a BE100, but could be a little more depending? the 2016 BE100 also uses a different board. There's been a few threads about updates lately and I can't find them but this is close I guess?

So yours was/is the single input correct? Thanks for the input.

I have the first version dual input BE and yes, any footswitch will do ... I'm quite partial to the BOSS FSU footswitch as it's super durable.

I believe the "custom switch" you're referring to works for Dirty Shirley only as inputs are wired in such manner to allow for a/b switching when plugged into both.
I don't think that works on 2-input BE's ... I could be wrong.
