BEHOLD THE KRUSE MODDED BANDMASTER VH TONE MASTERY!

He's been posting these for a couple of years....they do sound good and have that grind that the final mix has....but the VH1 session room mic clips don't have that exact grind as the final mix has and IMHO is the 68 Marshall.....YMMV...:2thumbsup:

I can't and won't say these Fender mods don't sound really good.

OF COURSE THEY DON'T have Pultec EQ and the rest of the deluxe fixin's...but bloody hell man, a Bandmaster like this is the integrated version of Ed's foundation: ENTHUSIASM/EXHILARATION/BLISS/ARTIST consciousness. That sound gets you there, into the ZONE.

That hard edged Fender TMB style bottom end is the thing the Marshalls don't do, and is the big key to the percussiveness and glassy high end of the tone. I gotta have one of these. Ugh! Imagine the sound with 6CA7's, KT77's or Philips/Sylvania 6L6GC's and some Telefunken or Mullard preamp tubes! The VIBES you can gather playing on a rig like this is what gave Ed the spiritual/emotional feedback loop to generate creatve energy. It's an engine to turn your inertia into momentum!

I've read both good and bad about him so what is the verdict around here? Anybody actually deal with him? These do sound great.

I've read a lot of bad shit about Kruse over the years but that clip sounds fuckin legit
Same. He has some clips of a Showman or Bandmaster that sound incredible. Like best sounding clips I've heard from any builder/amp. It could be that his note choice also appeals to my ear, the stuff he plays in the demo, but it gives me an idea of what I migth sound like through it.

Cleanup in aisle 7… @Amp_chaser just shit himself
Why would i shit myself ? that's not sounding like it at all moreover some owners of kruse amp seem to be disappointed by what they got in comparison with the sound samples. just check online reviews of it...

i still prefer my own versions (there is no polish no eq only delay and reverb the amp really sounds like that out of the box without distortion pedal) :

i'm using some mods josé used in atypical amps and that you won't find the schematics online and that dave didn't use on his friedman josé.

that's a modded plexi.

the humbucker used is a 78 model with 20w greenbacks and 30w 55hz greenbacks which were the original speakers used. The myth of the jbl d120f has been debunked by kurt james and mark cameron. Moreover the flagsystems cabs that ed used for his first tours used 30w blackbacks 55hz with g12h20 blackbacks 75hz...
