Hey guys?
I'm looking to replace the bridge pickup of my PRS singlecut. I've recently tried my first BKP, and I'm quite happy with the results, so I'd like to give another a shot in this guitar.
The guitar will be down tuned (Drop D, half step down)...fat mahogany body and neck, with maple top and rosewood fingerboard. I'm looking for a good, fat, high gain sound, while retaining clarity. Output wise, I'm honestly still undecided....I've had good results with both low and high output pickups in this guitar.
So, anyone have any experience with BKPs in a les paul type guitar? From what I could find, I'm thinking either Painkiller or Nailbomb, but I'd appreciate some first hand opinions.
Thanks much!
Eric
