Hi Folks.
I’m reading this with interest.
I have tried a few od’s with the BE100 DLX, sounds great at home volume but seems compress and lose volume at gig level.
Please, what am I doing wrong?
Using Buxom Boost, TC Spark, SD1, TS all with same results in front of the amp.
Many Thanks ?
Lose Volume? Sounds like a bad tube

A Parametric EQ can wvwn help you make the Friedman BE100 sound like a Mesa Boogie rectfier, Mark series amp or like a Marshall JMP from the 70s

An easy mistake is to run the system volume too low, that will nuke your power tubes. I run mine between 8-10. Using the Sat switch will compress and cut your volume -I never use it.

As for an OD, the Boss SD-1 is great. Level on 10, the gain can be off or 1/4 way up if I want more hair.
All of the boutique pedal features are not needed with such a killer amp with all it's features.

Sound ck sounded better than out front live. It was recorded with iphone to the side. Boss SD-1 gets it done
