D'Addario XL/EXL 110's for almost everything - been using them over 25 years. Still remember about 20 years ago getting ready for a gig, needed to change strings and the shop was out of D'Addarios. I bought a set of Slinkys. Changed strings and started playing unplugged. From the other room my wife said "What have you done to that guitar, it sounds awful!"

I have started using the NYXLs on a couple of guitars and I do kind of like them. I like the slightly tighter feel on a PRS - makes it feel like more of a Fender scale when bending. Pretty pricey though.

I really like the feel of Dunlop 10's on my Suhr. I'm not a string snob at all, but when I'm bending it feels like I get a better grasp on them compared to EB or D'addario's.

10-52 from E to D. Replace the low E with 56 if drop tuning any lower than D. Don't care about the brand that much. When I break a string, that guitar gets banished to the corner and I grab another one. Eventually I have to spend a few hours bringing guitars back from the dead.

I have a few local old timers like me who love dead-ish strings. I loooove the bright crisp twang of a new set.

I like the plain old standard D'Addario nickel wounds. I order a custom set of 11-56 for Drop C on my 25.5" scale guitars. :)

if you play drop c or lower look into dunlop heavy cores, gives a little more tension with a lower gauge... i run 11s with a 54 on top with great results on my 24.75 scales.

GHS Boomers 10-46 on all guitars...Floyded super strats, Hardtail Tele, TOM Les Pauls, all tuned to E or Eb. I've been using them exclusively since the mid 80's.

GHS Boomers .008, .009, .010 sets depending on the guitar and material involved.

Curt Mangan's
10's on my LP
12-13's on my acoustics (depending on the scale)

Been using Elixer 10's for years in E and Eb. I'm addicted to that slick feel and they luv you long time
