So far the best feeling amp I have come across is probably the Helios. The most punchy is probably the Diezel Paul, but the Helios is very punchy too. By punchy I mean how every note seems to pop right out with some depth when you pick. I have seen some people refer to punch as low end air moving from the speaker, but that's not what I'm talking about... More like a low mid kind of thump on every note. Punchy amps I have played include the XTC and Invader. Some amps that feel real nice to pick attack, especially when shredding, are the Shiva 20th and Friedman JJ. Which amps would be in your top 5 as far as pick attack/feel and punch?

loving my fuchs viper.

four 6550s turned up loud is a ton of fun.

I'd have to give the punchy pick attack award to either a Wizard MC2/MTL,,,or channel 1 on the Mezzabarba Mzero Overdrive. Both these amps make your speakers dance like no other, and make picking and especially palm muting like a 50cal. machine gun. Of course, their price tags will have a very percussive effect on your wallet too.

 Friedman Butterslax with matching 412/15.
You don't know what moving air is until you play through that monster stack. You get the renowned Friedman feel with brutality that will knock down buildings. The 15's have so much punch, they really surprised me, I had to have it after playing it

If you're talking hit the note and the amp quickly reacts, I'd have to say the Fortin Natas. That amp is aggressive, focused and has a lot of punch...yet is still easy to play.

Anybody here remember this little amp called a "CCV?" :D

Best feeling, greasy-est, "makes me sound like a better player than I am" amp = BE100. ( haven't tried a JJ or Butterslax yet )

The punchy-est, "kick me in the balls" amp, where every note feels like it was fired out of a cannon, and chugga chugga seems like it's gonna blow the house down = Wizard MCII.

Small box is the best feeling amp I have ever owned. It shines in any pickup config at any volume level on the volume pot. Truly amazing amp.

Best punch of amps I've owned is the SLO. Best feel/note bloom is the 2C+. Slaving the 2C+ to a Strategy 400 at volume is the definition of punch/bloom that can't be topped. But in a stand alone amp my best experience has been an SLO for punch.

I highly doubt its 'better' at moving air than a Wizard 100w or SLO...or my 2C+ and Strategy 400 through 2 cabs. But I'm sure its cool.

Hiwatts always did that for me. Sure, it's not high gain, but the terms of "punchy" and "feels good to play": a 50 or 100 watt Hiwatt are what I think of.

Most punchy amp I've tried is the KSR Ares I just got. The SLO is pretty punchy as well.

The Fortin Natas gets my vote too.

A good friend of mine had a Natas for a while..Brought it over my house a couple times. I have to agree that was punch for sure..When I think of a punchy sound I think of a super tight machine gun type of lowend. Not really a wall of sound knock you on your ass with palm mutes type of sound ..... Although the Natas does palm mutes with a super angry razor type presion put its those fast single note riffs its just super punchy for.

Some others I found to be really punchy would be Fryette Ultralead, Engl Savage, Marshal KeryKing prob a couple others I'm forgetting

Most punchy and best feeling are two different things IMO.

Most punchy = Marshall 2203/2204

Best mix of punchy and feeling = BE100 or Shiva 20th

Punch...

Diezel Herbert... Engl SE... or Soldano SLO.

In no particular order.
