Everyone should have a Naylor at least once in their life.
The reason I like JJ over Butterslax is that the JJ is more open, less compressed, feels better on the attack, and doesn't have a bunch of unusable gain.
But yeah, Naylor.

Yeah the Butterslax was sometimes hard to tame. I liked its greasy feel/sound on ch3, but my Rev 1 Uber would humiliate that amp. Like you said though, get a Naylor and a decent boost and then no need to talk or think about at least 50% of amps mentioned on this forum lol. I like efficiency in my gear journey and amps like the Naylor, a c+, good vintage Marshall’s, Wizards, and a few others can expose where the other “flavor of the month” amps are lacking and not needed

Both the JEL100 and the Smallbox sounds fantastic.......

Which Wampler Tumnus are you using in this video, the standard or Deluxe with the full Bass, Mids, Highs EQ on it.

If it is the Deluxe what exactly is the that Normal/Hot switch do? It sounds greats whichever one it is.....

Lol any reason not to? It’s the amp I wished the Friedman and most Bogners sounded like. Wasted so many years with those and many other amps just because almost no one talked about Naylor’s on here and the ones that did really did a terrible and inaccurate job describing them (saying they were smooth or dark was misleading and very incomplete, lazy info). Learn from my mistakes and all the time and money I had to use to figure this out lol. There are of course other amps out there that I like as much or more, but are a lot more expensive and rare unfortunately
Most of the Naylor clips I've heard of the Duel 60 and 100 they have a very Cameronesque kerrange to them which isn't a bad thing....:2thumbsup:

All this thread has done is make me want a Naylor
All your SLO clips is making me want a MKII SLO so were even................

Yeah @cragginshred77 my mistake... it's not your fault ClintN667, it's all Cragginshred's fault....

I think you're referring to Cragginshred77. He's the one with those really good sounding MKII SLO clips. I like my '89 SLO just as much as the Naylor's. Maybe just a little more actually for my taste

I got rid of all of them. Still have a Twin Sister and I’m on the hunt for a 100 Deluxe
I do like the BE100 Deluxe more than the standard BE100. It's alot more raw and pissed off sounding as well as less compressed. :2thumbsup:

I really liked the 50 Deluxe but I love how the Plexi channel on the 100 sounds

I totally agree... the 50 sounds great but the 100 has the punch and dynamics that I prefer as well.
You can hear the difference here:
