Anyone recommend a good Guitar Cable? One that has a lifetime warranty? A few Monster cables just went out, and they will not take them back without proof of purchase

you should be buying for the quality, not the marketing and warrantee. When you have a +500% upcharge on your crap you can offer a lifetime warrantee.

I was recently told that Monster no longer allows this. I tried to do the same thing at GC and they wouldn't take it.

Can you solder? You can buy the materials and make great quality cables way cheaper than you can buy them.

A lot of people around here seem to make their own using Mogami cable and Neutrik ends. Personally I've just been using Planet Waves and no complaints! Cheers

I make my own cables. The warranty on cables, that are usually overpriced, seems kind of pointless when the failure is at a gig. One of my bandmates is big on Monster and touts the warranty. He's gonna be disappointed next time he wants an exchange. ;-)

I've been using Horizon cables for decades, good quality, excellent performance, lifetime warranty and reasonably priced. I've only had one fail over the years. I just cut it up into shorter pieces and made jumper cables out of it.

mogami. I use platinum and gold. I bought my first platinum 7 years ago and it cut out last year, walked into gc and they exchanged it on the spot without a receipt. Pretty damn good

I had Monster cables for many years, one finally started cutting out after almost a decade. Instead of swapping them out, I switched to Mogami Gold and I've been happy with them.

Well I have some Conquest cables that I've been using for the last 25 years with hundreds of gigs on them and they're still going strong. And yes, they have a lifetime warranty.
