Best hot rodded Marshall tone for under 3k?

Camerons are the best modded marshalls I've tried, and I've had at least one example from the well known modders. But an SLO boosted is the best tone for me, very marshally to my ears. Less than 3k used....

^ This. I bought Josh's Cameron Modded 1987X. Absolutely incredible amp, I really can't believe he sold it.

This or a Henning Cherry Bomb. I will be grabbing one of the Bottle Rockets when available.

I sold many amps after receiveing these two, including a Shiva 20th, Ecstasy 101B, CCV, Atomica... you get the picture. These amps bring the goods.

Maybe I am just silly here, but I think if I really wanted hot-rodded Marshall tone, I would go for a hot-rodded Marshall.

A LOT of possibilities. I've got 2 Gowers and 1 Cameron atm. All very good!

All under 3k. Used, not new.

And all of 'em loaded.

Henning....I know they are a bit more new, but DAYUM do Steve's amps bring the goods.

In all seriousness, there are probably a bakers dozen hot rodded marshalls in the classifieds all claiming to be the best... I'm not sure how you will know until you play them all and pick which one you like the best. That being said I'd try this one first.

Vht deliverance. I play a d60 next to a boosted jcm800 a couple nights a week and with the mids dimed sounds nearly identical. Xept i dont need a boost..

I play my Cornford more than anything else, but it's not what I'd consider a modded Marshall.

Gutierrez manic Hispanic mod on a 50 watt 800 with metro zero loss loop and depth knob. A variation on a Langer mod with modern voicing.

Best Marshall I ever owned. Soon to have it back.

Find an older 3 pre Quickrod. I know youve thried one before (I think ) but you have to give it another shot. There were some duds out there but you can't go wrong with the older models imo. I've played them all

how about an unmodded one? Plenty of sweet JMP/JCM800 2203/04's out there. Your mod will be an OD pedal of choice in front I'm serious too. I went Boger, VHT, Splawn and Mesa and forgot how sweet the 2203 with a SD-1 in front was I still have all my amps too,
