IF I was to ship an amp to say Canada or the U.K., what’s the most reliable and inexpensive service?

Also, what about costs like duty and tax, etc?

Anyone have any recent experiences?

Thanks!

USPS. Any other option is so expensive it's almost prohibitive. When I've shipped overseas I've never had any problems. Once the package gets to the dest country it transfers to their postal service. I've shipped over to Europe 5 times.

Last time was 2 yrs ago, shipped a guitar to Norway.
Duty and tax will be paid by the receiver, and you can drop the value to save them money when you fill out the customs declaration when you ship, but then if damage occurs they are taking a chance. Post offices have the forms there when you ship.

If you can run it through eBay, like create a transaction there, you can use their Global Shipping Program, where you just ship to a hub in the US and they take it from there. Should be a lot cheaper that way. Just create a listing with gibberish or misspelled words in the title, send the link to the buyer and have him buy it now. Even with fees it's probably a lot cheaper than going right to USPS.
