POD HD500x will give you everything you want. Great effects, 4cm, built-in expression pedal, and in your budget.

Which of these budget units, hd500/ms-3/rp1000; do you guys think has the best tubescreamer/od models, and a decent noise gate. I don't care if it's AS good as a maxon or decimator as I can use them in the studio; but live would eliminate the need for multiple pedals?? They seem to all have similar switching, but need a gate and a decent boost for my rig.

It's a 2000mA wireless power supply. It's an awesome combo with Boss ms3 to cut down on cables. I actually have 2 of them now. It's sleek and fits underneath the pedaltrain boards

Slick. I'm obviously way behind on modern switching and power supply's, etc.... went ahead and ordered an ms-3. It will simplify my rig for sure.

Source audio la lady. Two drives (40 choices) noise gate, eq, and much more. $150.

Boss ms-3 works great for me.

For JUST the FX loop? The way the MS3 is setup, it won't work in 4CM setup. In front of a clean amp it probably works great.
Incorrect
MS-3 works great in 4cm

Doesn't the main input/output send the entire signal through your amps input? Or are those loops independent, or can you assign where they are routed?

EDIT. Nevermind, found this. Didn't think it possible.

Yep. I watched about ten videos to make sure you can assign the routing. A guy boosting his recto with one answered a few questions I had, and sold me on it. This will replace like five pedals and a channel switcher for my live rig.

This is not true. It works in 4CM. I did it in 2 amps.
