Best Pedal Tuners?

I had the Polytune 2 but sold it a while back when I didn't need a stage tuner.

I've been planning on getting another but from what I remember it had a rough time picking up some lower tuned notes and didn't seem all that accurate when comparing the poly function vs a single string. Meaning I would tune all the strings at once in the Poly function and be in tune but then if I checked each string individually with the same velocity some would be a little off.

So anyway, I was wondering if anyone one has compared other tuners and found them to be better or more accurate than the TC Polytune 2?
 
Skip the tc pedal. I have owned it and the turbo tuner is so much better. Everything is slow and inaccurate in comparison.
 
Yep, Stobe tuners are the best....Turbo Tuners show up occasionally on Reverb for around $100, if you want to save some cash.

I'll keep my eyes open. I do kind of like the poly function being able to check all strings at once but if the strobe is more accurate and that awesome I guess I can sacrifice the poly.

I've never used these before but from what I'm seeing online the strobe seems to be the way to go.
 
the poly function is inaccurate. Every time i tune up with my poly tune clip on vs my turbo tuner i wonder why i still use the clip on. I literally never use the polly function. And if you have a floating bridge its almost pointless to use. Trust me and skip the pedal.

Agree. Bought mine when they 1st came out. Great tuner. I've stomped on mine for so long now that I'm starting to get nervous that the switch is gonna fail mid gig...
 
Peterson strobo stomp has been my favorite for a long time...turbo tuner was good but i like my peterson more
 
I've never had a problem with the good old Boss tuner. I'll bet those strobe tuners are better, though.
 
Have to agree the TC sucks. I used a TU-2 for a long time and it was awesome. I have a Poytune and I friggin' hate it.

Looks interesting.

I like the smaller size and the looks of the turbotuner better BUT I like the up and down grid on the Peterson better vs the spinning circle of the turbotuner.

The other thing I noticed based off this video is that the turbotuner picks up the notes 100x faster. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bY9H7ec6_0

Edit, looks like there are different models.

I really like the looks of the classic model. Wondering how fast that one picks up the notes. (not that it is a deal breaker being able to check my tuning insanely fast)
 
I have whatever the latest Boss TU pedal is and it's fine. I also have the latest clip-on Boss tuner and it's even better, but I prefer the pedal for gigs. We do a few tunes in 440 and some in Eb, so I like to have them both with me and not have to reach down and reset the pedal for 440.
