Need opinions/advice. Tired of playing thru pc amp sims thru headphones. Strictly home use
I am current looking at
- Boss Katana -https://www.boss.info/us/products/katana-50_mk2/
- Line 6 Catalyst - https://shop.line6.com/catalyst-60.html

any others? looking mainly non tube options.

Randall Rg150h. Here is why. All you need is a boost and this thing is there. The lineout is amazing. Silences the output into your cab and then you control the output level with master. If you have a speaker sim vst, you are in business. Best silent recording ever. And if you want to pull the paint off the walls, 150 ss watts gets safely to 114 dbs...ask me how i know. If you are a pedal geek, whatever you have in the loop is also going out the line out, sonit isnt just a pre amp out. Put an eq i. The loop and it is a homerun. My only complaint was i was getting hum (in silent recording) from the cooling fan. Enter zuul.

I'm getting a Katana one of these days and may get a second one. They sre great little amps and so versatile. I want to have two and do the stereo setup.

Gonna give a shout out to the GK250ML. Small, 100watt, stereo, chorus, reverb, built like a tank, sounds weird/awsome.

Yamaha THR10 series is my favorite practice/direct recording amp

Honestly they're just one of my favorite amps period

I can post up some clips of mine (THR10X) if you're interested
