I scored my TAT for $850, but it's pretty hard to find a Caparison for under $1200.

I will keep that in mind. Just found out my step son's adoption isn't going to be that costly, as long as his biological father doesn't fight it and it doesn't look like he will. Nah been down that road. Looking for something new. My Ibanez is actually my main guitar these days. I'd like to find a cross between it and my Strat. The Schecter was nice but looking for a different tone than it had.

It would be real close to have a Carvin built, maybe a Contour 66 but not a California CT. However you might get two for that price used.
You might look hard for a USA Hamer Californian. Great guitar. Perhaps an older Charvel?
