I saw a lot of Shawn Lane videos with him playing that same guitar. I've known it was a Charvel but not sure which one it was.

But yeah, I'd see about a Carvin. They can be fairly cheap if you lay low on the customization options.

That is a DEAL and they are killer guitars! I have one myself.

Carvins are good too but, I thing they're 50/50 tonally (they all look nice but, only half sound great).

ESP M-II's are great as well.

The Charvel 750XL somebody posted before is also great as is a Jackson Archtop Pro (same thing basically) and quite a few 1989-1993 Jackson/Charvel models are sweet too.

It would be real close to have a Carvin built, maybe a Contour 66 but not a California CT. However you might get two for that price used.

You might look hard for a USA Hamer Californian. Great guitar. Perhaps an older Charvel?

I will keep that in mind. Just found out my step son's adoption isn't going to be that costly, as long as his biological father doesn't fight it and it doesn't look like he will. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel for certain things and daddy wants a new axe.

whatever you do, don't tell the adoption service that you want a new axe or they might get the wrong idea...

Not too sure on the guitar to be honest... your prices are so different to ours it's hard to know. I did like the caparison i tried, but as mark says you'd be doing well to get one for that... if you can get a USA jackson for that, that'd be a nice guitar too. you doubtless have several options, and personal preference will play a big part too, as you doubtless already know...

I don't think it's your thing (D/S/S pickup config) but the EBMM Silhouette Special has put an end to my superstrat gas and it's well priced for what it is.

I really do like everything but the floyd...that part just isn't for me, the rest is great!
