I know this question gets beaten to death, so sorry. But I'm trying to settle on a delay pedal to run in front of a high gain amp. I despise the loop on my Recto and running wet/dry is just PITA.
I used a flashback for a while and it was not great for this. Heard the Pete Thorn demo of the Echophonic Jr and read positive reviews, so I bought one. Maybe it's a bit better, but if it's the best I can hope for I'll just give up on using delay.
I'm sure someone will say Strymon, maybe I'll give it a try, but in a post Pete Torn said he didn't think it was any better (for this purpose) than the Echophonic Jr. I'm thinking of just getting a DD2 or 3 for the JCM (which does just fine with delay out front but behind the SD-1) and giving up on delay with the Recto.
Thanks guys.
