I should've heeded the warning from this thread.
I was browsing the GC used site, and came across a decent price on some monitors (kali lp6's) then upon looking a little more, I noticed MF had two of the white ones for $139/each (normally $199) and with the free shipping, that was only a few dollars more than the used pair. I decided to think on it for a day or two, and then got an offer for 15% off an order of $250+ So I went ahead and ordered the pair of monitors, which came to right at $250/pair brand new.
A few days later, I get an e-mail saying one of the two had been cancelled. I call the following day asking to cancel the other one, and that guy on the phone all but refuses to let me cancel my order. He keeps offering to find me some alternative speakers, or sell me another lp6 in a different color. I told him, if I can't get a matching pair for the price I paid, to just cancel altogether.
He then tells me that a guitar center store is already processing the order, and that I would have to contact them directly to cancel it. I voiced that it doesn't make sense that I would have to contact a 3rd party, that should be their job to handle it. I finally ask him for the location and contact info for the GC I'm allegedly supposed to contact, and he puts me on hold for another 10 minutes, eventually telling me that his supervisor was able to get my order canceled
I haven't bought anything from them in years except the occasional cheapo items like strings or headphones when they're on sale. I should have known better.
